I will change my life! I will change my life! I will change my life!

Ok … I’ve been neglectful. But, no more!

In January, 2011 I promised myself it would be the “Year of No Excuses.” I then failed to meet my goal and allow my bad habits free rein and float through the year, not getting myself together, on all fronts … physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially.

So, I am making a promise to myself … and to anyone who finds this post. I will take action and write two posts a week about my experiences learning how to change my life!

I’m hoping for an interactive exchange of ideas where we can find cool tools to help us along our way. Let’s discuss …

  • How to change
  • How to manage time
  • How to make the commitment
  • How to stay motivated
  • How to earn income outside of one’s job
  • How to budget your resources
  • How to find the good first and foremost in all experiences

So … join me in my challenge and visit often. Tell me what works for you. Let’s find a way to Love Change Today!

In October 2005, three weeks after an intense project at work, the Universe gifted me with a heart attack. I use the word “gift” because I was visited by God and he asked me, do you want to live, or do you want to die?

Then he got even cheekier … BTW, if you want to live, get a new hobby and take some risks!

When I look back, I can see I had been wandering on this path for years, in denial and looking for a purpose. Something I could do to sincerely help others and create as many smiles and as much pleasure to my day as possible.
That’s when the risky business started, life changed, and my passion ignited.

CHANGE … I DESPERATELY NEEDED CHANGE!

I was on a mission … a mission from God! A mission to grab life and live it, to leave safe and secure road of comfort and apathy, drudging away at a dead end job that catered only to greed and the bottom line.

My health was bad, I had a job that was sucking the Life out of me, I was desperately grieving the death of my Brother, Grandmother, and Father, just out of a divorce, devastated by the end of a passionate love affair, and menopause was kicking in.

I WAS SCARED AND FILLED WITH FEAR!

I had to dust off my best personal qualities … my willingness to learn, my creativity, and my vivid imagination and ask the dangerous questions:

* What makes me smile?
* What ignites my creativity?
* What do I like to talk about?
* What would I do for free?
* What do I find easy?
* What makes me unafraid to fail?
* What would I regret not having done?

THEN IT HAPPENED!

I got a letter that asked “Can You Write a Simple Letter?”

And I found the words!
And I found my voice!
And I found my passion!

Today, my head, heart and body fire on all pistons! I feel and see in colors, deep and intense … and like a child I get overwhelmed with the pleasure and terrible beauty of it all.

I honestly don’t know what tomorrow will bring, a move to Del Ray Beach, tree trekking in Panama, a pilgrimage to Wimberley, working on my new website, looking for a lover who won’t blow my cover, or enjoying a simple day in the sun with my pooch while secretly wearing red panties, but I know, deep down inside, I possess all I need … Dangerously Wicked Tools Of Change!

So, I’m looking for you … friends on a path filled with happiness and purpose! Friends that care. Friends that are mindful and celebrate the differences, strong and full of courage! Friends that believe that it’s possible to find beauty in even the most unlikely places.

Let’s band together, explore and find the simple, free, tools and create the change we wish to find find for ourselves, and then show, by example, to others!
